Cube and cook up 1 pound of chicken in a little bit of oil in a skillet. Shred up the chicken (use your hands! It's fun to get a little bit messy sometimes!) so that you have varying sized strips. In a separate bowl, mix together two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, 1/2 cup of hot sauce (you can add more or less depending on how hot you like your dip!), 1 cup of ranch dressing and 3/4 cups of sharp cheddar cheese. Add in the chicken to this mixture so that everything is mixed well together. The twist that I like to put on this recipe is to use the slow cooker! You can use the oven if you'd prefer, but the slow cooker keeps it warm down to the very last bite which is wonderful. Use the lowest setting on the crock pot and sprinkle another 3/4 cup of sharp cheddar to cover the entire top of the dip. Allow cheese to fully melt and then change the setting on the crock pot to warm. Serve warm with some sort of chip, cracker, or celery sticks.
Enjoy!
